Review:

Dark Romance is a genre I typically stay away from. I cannot tell you exactly what made me decide to give this one a chance. The one thing I do know is that I loved every minute of it.

When we meet London in the beginning, it becomes clear very quickly that her life has sucked so far. Big time. What she had to endure, and how broken she is, both physically and emotionally, hurt me deeply. It hurt me to see that she was looking for a safe place and left everything behind in the spur of the moment. When she saw a way out, she took it.
To then arrive somewhere with someone who did not particularly look forward to giving her a place to stay was not what she had hoped for. Her refusal to back down and accept no for an answer was something that instantly made me like her even more.

This story came with some very dark elements. London and Archer had to suffer a lot in their lives. They were not gifted with sunshine and rainbows. This was exactly what made them connect with each other so quickly. They were perfect for each other. Everyone was aware of that, except the two of them. They enjoyed it far too much to make each other’s lives less enjoyable 🙂
These moments added a little hope and lightness to a story that mainly revolved around getting rid of others and not caring one bit about it. It was the perfect balance, and I did not expect to fall so hard for both of them and the supporting cast. I cannot wait for the journey to continue.
