Review:

Not knowing where you came from and always feeling like a misfit are not the ideal circumstances to grow up in. Someone might tell you that being different is a good thing and that no one cares, but reality often looks very different, especially for the person affected.
Imogen is a fae without magic, and living among humans (who do not particularly like fae) has made her feel like an outsider. I instantly liked her character and felt connected to her pursuit of finding her family and a place where she feels welcomed.

She ends up in numerous dangerous situations, only to be rescued by the very handsome Kaedian, who sees an opportunity for himself by forcing her to her stay with him. These two became very good by challenging each other on a daily basis. It became obvious very quickly that there was more to him than he initially let on, and that she would eventually see behind the mask. Once their dynamic slowly began to change (and if you love a slow burn, this one will not disappoint), it quickly became more and it came across very well.

This was an amazing read: very easy to get into and engaging from beginning to end. The world is not overly complex, but it offers enough depth to keep me guessing while also leaving plenty of potential for more to come.
