Review:

Do you absolutely have to read the first book in the series? No, but if you do, the characters and some of the events mentioned will make more sense.

In summary, this book is about work-life balance and prioritising what is most important to you. We get a lovely couple who finally decide to spend some well-deserved time off together, but sadly, that doesn’t happen, and it puts a strain on their relationship.
Novellas can be hit or miss for me, and I’m sad to say that this one didn’t add much to the overall story. It was cute and quick to read, but it didn’t leave me feeling like it contributed anything significant. A lot of the conflict came down to miscommunication, and I wasn’t a fan of that.
It was an okay read, but I wouldn’t consider it mandatory reading as part of the series.
