Review:
That was an absolute banger. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
How the story wove all the elements together – which didn’t make sense at the beginning – was a masterpiece of storytelling. I wasn’t able to put this one down and had to read it in one sitting.
A woman jumping from a building, a couple found dead at the beach, and very horrific events from the past made this feel very dark and intense. This is not for the faint of heart, and for everyone dealing with cases like these in real life – props to you.
What I enjoyed a lot were the connections to stories and characters from the first book. It adds to the feeling of being connected to what is happening to and with the characters. What I absolutely adored was the chemistry between Sheridan and Sam. These two are an amazing couple, and I love me some representation.
And calling very early in the morning (and it just being accepted as a normal thing between close friends) just to share that your cat is making progress in sleeping closer to you was one of my personal highlights 🙂
