Review
I’m a big fan of TV Series books like Reacher, The Terminal list. Give me a grumpy male lead with a complex family history, who gets recruited by MI6 (a farmer turned spy) and sent on a mission that he is not suited for to begin with but surprises everyone along the way.
It comes with a lot of action, builds relationships, introduces us the various characters and their unique personalities. It all works very well together, and I felt very entertained the whole time. Combine this with a lot of sarcasm along the way and you can consider me hooked.
I really enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to reading more of the series.
A big plus is the fact that our main character comes from Ireland. I’ve been there on vacation for 4 years in a row now and some of the cities, areas mentioned are familiar to me.
Definitely a very good start to a series, that will grab your attention if you are a fan of the genre.
