Review:
With me enjoying The Terminal List (by this Author) so much, looking for another one of his works sounded like an obvious choice. By now I have a good inderstanding about his style, and this sounded like one that I’d enjoy.
What I liked about the main character (our professor) is his willingness to *go for it*. Once he arrived in Moskow, it went sideways fast from what we expected to happen. We learned that aspects of the mission were held back, and when it unfolded, it all made so much sense.
Nathan is also a very smart guy, delivering the right amount of sarcasm (which I like a lot in my main characters) and he outsmarted the government a bit also.
The ending was perfect and with it being a shorter story (I usually listen to my Audiobooks with 1.2x speed), it is a perfect length to get an entertaining story and you can consume in between whatever you are doing if you have approx an hour available. I got exactly what I was hoping for.
