🌙 Recension: The Alchemy Before The Dawn (Lightles 🌙 Recension: The Alchemy Before The Dawn (Lightless Alchemist #1) by Hayley Pierce📚 Genre: Romance, Fiction📅 Release Date: September 26, 2025 (initial release under Aubade Rising, relaunch Feb 2026 with new title + Cover)📱 Read as: Kindle📗 available in various formats – included in Kindle Unlimited💸 Bought🗣️ Language: English📆 Pages: 364⭐️ 4/5The Glass Between the Tides is the second book in the Lightless Alchemist - available for pre-orderReview:We live in a world where the use of magic is suppressed and essentially forbidden, unless it benefits the powerful. Sage is desperately trying to channel her magic, to shape and control it. She’s close to a breakthrough, but her latest attempt fails. When she’s suddenly attacked by rebels fighting the regime, she’s forced to flee and ends up in a situation where she’s offered the chance to continue her work in secret.Sage isn’t trusted and is immediately suspected of being a rebel herself, especially by Eskar, the captain of the king’s guard. Circumstances keep pushing them together, and it slowly becomes clear they may have more in common than either expected. For Sage to continue her mission, she must leave her protected haven and reluctantly team up with Eskar. On their journey, both learn that achieving a shared goal requires cooperation and trust. What I enjoyed most was the gradual way the relationship between the two main characters developed. It never felt forced or rushed. Their connection grows naturally and goes deeper than simple physical attraction. They’re both shaped by the situations they’ve been thrust into, and what stood out for me was that the story doesn’t gloss over an early event that has a significant emotional impact on Sage. Disappointment and pain aren’t brushed aside; the narrative allows both characters the time and space to truly understand this.I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how the story continues after the cliffhanger at the end of Book 1.#hayleypierce#LightlessAlchemistseries

🌙 Recension: The Light Under the Shadow Wing by Am 🌙 Recension: The Light Under the Shadow Wing by Amanda Bouchet📚 Genre: Romantasy📅 Release Date: February 24, 2026📖 Verlag: RBmedia | Recorded Books👤 Narrator: Samantha Brentmoor; Ryan West📗 available in various formats📱 Read as: Audiobook💸 I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.🗣️ Language: English📆 Pages / Listening Length: 12h 46min⭐️ 3/5Review:If you’re looking for a romance with a touch of fantasy woven in, this one might be for you. It’s not my first experience with the romantasy genre, but this book leaned heavily toward physical attraction rather than a developed storyline, and listening to all of that honestly grossed me out at times (it just felt wrong). The amount of time spent (especially by the MMC) thinking about the FMC and imagining what he wanted to do to her was a bit too much for me. There were moments when I genuinely debated whether to continue. The age gap also didn’t sit well with me. I know this isn’t the real world, but nearly 400 years of difference is… a lot.The actual storyline wasn’t very compelling either. Our FMC wants answers about her origins and goes searching for them. The MMC has all the information but chooses to keep it from her. When she finally learns the truth, the trust between them breaks. With the physical aspect taking up what felt like around 60% of the book, there wasn’t much room for character development or emotional growth. The ending also felt rushed. Was it a complete failure? No. But I was definitely expecting more from it. If this is the kind of romantasy you typically enjoy, then it might be a better fit for you than it was for me.
Do you re-buy a book you already own if you prefer Do you re-buy a book you already own if you prefer the new cover? Looks like I'm that type of person 😁Additional question: As someone who never built any Lego, how long will it take me 😅#projecthailmary#judgingabookbyitscover
