New In: Book Haul | November 2025

A few days ago, I went shopping in the city centre at TK Maxx and saw someone running around with books. After running back and forth and up and down multiple times, I found a section with books. Just a quick look cannot hurt. Right? What I found was a lot of Fantasy books, that I considered interesting, but they were either the second or later book in a series and I am not committing to buying the first one just for the sake of getting a later ones for a reduced price. After spending way too much time there, a few books came home with me. Enjoy my Book Haul.

New In: Book Haul | November 2025

  • Cassandra Clare – Sword Catcher
This one was the only first book in a series and I have it on Kindle and remembered enjoying it. For 5,99€ I was fine for getting the HC version of it to re-read it soon.
  • Harlan Coban – Missing You
The Netflix Sticker did it for me and for 3,99€ I got it. It is probably a book I would unhaul after reading. We’ll see about it in the future.
  • Christine Riccio – Better Together
It sounded interesting enough to give it a chance for 2,99€.
  • Kristin Hannah – The Four Winds + Winter Garden
I was not aware about the number of books she already published. I’d like to read all of them in the future and seeing these for 2,99€ each, sounded like a good investment.
  • Melville Herman – Moby Dick
Occasionally I feel bad for not owning a printed classical book. For 8,99€ I got it. Let’s see if I enjoy reading this chunky one.
  • Andrew Lang – The Blue Fairy Book
My only reasoning for getting this one was how beautiful it looks. It has also sprayed edges and with 12,99€ it was the most expensive of the bunch.

New In Book Haul of new releases November 2025

When I got the Notification from my bookstore, that my pre-ordered book is ready to be picked up, I immediately went there, and my intention was to get it and leave. It is very visible, that that did not happen.

  • Shelby Van Pelt – Remarkably Bright Creatures
I heard a lot of good things about this one and was not aware that it’ll come to Netflix. I usually like to read the book first before watching the adapted version of it.
  • Elizabeth Lim – A Forgery of Fate
Seeing a fantasy that is a standalone sounded such a breath of fresh air (I don’t want to commit to more series) made me grab it immediately.
  • Chloe Walsh – Releasing 10
I’m feeling as if I’m joining the party a bit late with this series. I liked the German version with the sprayed edges and this one got released middle of November. Now I have a reason to finally pick it up in the foreseeable future.

Did I need any more books? Absolutely not. Did I enjoy adding a few to my TBR anyway? Absolutely. Do you know any of these books?
