Synopsis:

A Missing Sister. A Town Full of Secrets.

Things are going well for Victoria Klain. A university student, she’s about to graduate and a guy in her dorm seems interested in her. She might even land a position at a world-renowned research laboratory. Then, someone kidnaps her sister. Why? What do they want? Whoever it is, they’re watching Victoria’s every move. She can’t tell the police, her friends, or her mother.

Alone, Victoria must save her sister, meeting a detective with motives of his own and navigating a wealthy, secluded town uninterested in outsiders. But lurking in that town, a doctor is waiting for Victoria. He has a plan for her, and he will eliminate anyone in his way.

Review:

I wanted to like this one and the description promised a lot. A few chapers in, I already felt like this one wasn’t for me.

The characters remaines very surface level and I didn’t feel a conenction to anyone. The plot as such didn’t bring anything new to the table and the multiple perpectives and pieces of the story that didn’t feel that cohesive, had me rush throught the book at the halftime mark.

A Thriller should have me gasping, hold my attention and root for a certain outcome while trying to find out what actually happens. I simply felt a bit let down and sad.
