Synopsis:

A man in a coma explores possible lives before the final decision is made.
After a sudden accident, a man falls into a coma.
Suspended between life and death, his mind begins to wander through different versions of existence—moments from the past, lives that could have been lived, and choices that were never made. Each “room” reveals a fragment of who he was, who he might have become, and what still binds him to the world he left behind.
As time in the hospital runs out, the line between memory, imagination, and reality starts to blur. To return, he must understand what truly defines him—before the final decision is made without him.

Review:

We meet Steve as he returns home after yet another late-night company event, only to find his wife has finally had enough and decides to leave. Unable to accept this, he desperately tries to stop her, but in the process gets into an accident and wakes up in an in-between world. Here, he’s presented with an extraordinary opportunity: the chance to choose different lives and outcomes.

While the premise isn’t entirely unique, the book delivers it in an engaging way, posing thought-provoking questions: Are the decisions you’ve made – and the life you’re living now – truly making you happy? If given the chance to start over, what would you change? What really matters when everything you value is at risk?
