Synopsis:

Thirteen-year-old Audie just wanted to escape homeschool…

She didn’t expect to sprout gold wings and crash into a celestial war. The Angel Archives is a coming-of-age, heart-pounding, clean teen fantasy adventure full of fierce friendships, high-flying battles, and one girl’s journey to discover who, or what, she really is.

The Angel Archives is a wholesome fantasy adventure perfect for readers ages 9-14, with rich worldbuilding and themes that parents, educators, & adult fantasy fans will appreciate too!

Review:

Sometimes I want a story that is easy to read, entertaining, and gentle on the mind, and this YA novel seemed perfect for that. After a few pages, it became clear that this book moves quickly and has a lively, almost chaotic energy.

It feels as if people of different ages shared their favorite story ideas, and the author put them all in. But bigger, brighter, and funnier. Some parts worked well for me, others less so, but the joy behind it was obvious. Our FMC discovers she is special and joins a group of people like her. Together, they act like teenagers do: bold, opinionated, and often too clever for their own good, which leads them into all kinds of trouble.

At its heart, the story is about finding yourself, finding your people, and working together toward a shared purpose. Paired with a willingness to push limits, it becomes a story that fits its age group very well.
