Review:

The second book comes with a lot of known elements of the first one. The chapters start with stories / telling’s of Irish folklore that show us the richness of the countries history and how it has become so engraved in everyday life.

The story immediately starts by introducing us to Christine’s side. She is looking for her sister, who send a message with an emergency code that asks for immediate help. Arriving at the last location, Christine tries her best to look for her sister but is send away by the owners declining knowing her sister. She fears for the life of her sisters and required help to proceed. This is where the story starts interacting with the characters, we got to know from the first book. The needs to combine their individual strength to get to the bottom of it and the story unfolds bit by bit.

It took me a few pages to get into the story again, which is something that I noticed with the first one also. At approx. 50 pages in, I started to feel connected to the new characters and started to be concerned for them. The romance between Ash and Elliot I’m still not 100% onboard with. The way they constantly were reminded that the curse had prevented them from getting physically close to each other was a tad bit overused for my liking.

Overall, I enjoyed the second book in the series a lot, looking forward the third one now.
