Synopsis:
Kaia Redfern lives a double life – music teacher by day, fiery rock band frontwoman on the occasional nights she has off. Between juggling a demanding job at a respectable private school and keeping her beloved community music project afloat she barely has time to breathe, let alone fall in love.
But everything changes the night she ducks into a bar, heart pounding, with a stalker ex-boyfriend hot on her heels. Desperate, she turns to the brooding, handsome stranger beside her and murmurs, “Pretend to be my boyfriend.”
Frankie Diamond isn’t the kind of man you ask for a favour – he’s the kind of man people owe. Wealthy, powerful, and with a reputation that makes grown men nervous, Frankie plays along… and plays it well. One scorching kiss is all it takes to spark a connection neither of them saw coming.
She thinks it’s over when he walks her home. She’s wrong.
The next day, Frankie turns up on her doorstep—casual, charming, and ready to collect on the favour she owes. He’s not asking for much… just for her to play the role of his fiancé at a high-stakes business dinner. One date. One night. That’s all.
But lines blur quickly when chemistry this hot refuses to stay pretend. And as Kaia’s carefully balanced life starts to unravel, she has to wonder—did she run into the best thing that ever happened to her, or straight into the arms of her undoing?

Review:
This is not an enemies to lovers romance (as it is marketed). Does it come with spice (which the word dirty is probably a reference to)? Absolutely, but an amount that I didn’t mind.
He is helping her when a prior date becomes sticky and he ask her for a favour in return. It’s starts out with physical attraction, but along the way they get to know each other, and it becomes more than that. The chemistry was believable, and I enjoyed them together.
It was a shorter one and I appreciated that the physical aspect where present, but not overwhelming and supported the story. I was pleasantly surprised about how much I enjoyed it.
