Synopsis:
A cursed princess. A fraud prince. A love worth fighting for.
For Rosamund, happily ever after isn’t hidden in her dreams. It’s locked inside her nightmares, waiting to be fought for.
Rosamund came to Westhaven Academy to learn about history, art, and magic. Instead, she learns that the dragon that hunts her every night isn’t just a dream. It’s a faery curse, and time is running out.
Prince Thain has been living a lie, pretending to wield magic to stay at Westhaven and become the son his father always wanted. But he knows the deception can’t last. When a mysterious alchemist offers him the chance to slay a dragon and save the beautiful new stranger, Thain seizes it. At last, he can be the true hero he has always longed to be. But the curse is hungry, and it may claim his life before he claims her heart.
A Dream Enchanted is a clean romantic retelling of Sleeping Beauty. Part of the Fairy Tales of Westhaven, where each book is a standalone tale of love and magic in a shared world.

Review:
We have a lot of Sleeping Beauty retellings out there. Some good and some not so good. This one sounded interesting enough to give it a try and with it being on the shorter side, why not give it a chance? The cover also added to getting me interested with it being beautiful. On top of that is a shorter read, which I appreciate and enjoy in between my 600ish page books 🙂
I like this one. It didn’t get too complex but had enough world and character building in there to get a general understand of where we are and who our main characters are. With it being a Sleeping Beauty retelling, the overall arc is pretty clear. We get a cursed princess and a not so typical prince that is the only one who can save her from this course. And we’re adding a dragon into the mix 🙂
Overall, we’re getting a story of two unlikely characters that are stuck (each in their own way), meet each other, like each other and learn along the way how to become a better version of themselves. It’s about growing up, leaving expectations behind, and accepting yourself for who you are.
If you are looking for a nice pallet cleanser in between, which does not require too much brain power, this is a good one.
