Audiobook: Cruel Winter with You by Ali Hazelwood

I started to listen to Audiobooks when working out at the gym. I needed a quick one so this short story fit the bill. It is part of a collection of short stories from various authors and part of Kindle Unlimited. I had the option to either read it or listen to the Audiobook (which I did).

Synopsis:

All newly minted pediatrician Jamie Malek wants is to borrow a roasting pan for Christmas dinner. Unfortunately, that requires her to interact with Marc—her best friend’s troublemaking brother, who’s now a tech billionaire. He’s the one who got away. She’s the one who broke his heart. Outside, a howling blizzard. Inside, a crackling fire. Suddenly, being snowbound with the man she never expected to see again might not be such a bad way to spend a winter’s night.

Audiobook Review:

Jamie and Marc are childhood friends. They grow up together and at a certain point became just a bit more than just friends. But they never fully accepted it or acted on it.

A snowstorm has them stuck together. Will they finally be honest to each other?

It’s short, it’s a quick read and fits the season. We’re not getting anything new. Just something for in between books, that you won’t really remember a few weeks after. Sometimes it’s exactly what I want.

If you know Ali, then you can expect at least one particular scene somewhere. Probs to the Narrator 🙂
